RIVERPLACE AND SOUTH WATERFRONT

South Waterfront is the largest urban redevelopment project in Portland’s history. As master developers, our sister company Williams & Dame directed the redevelopment of this former industrial area into a thriving district complete with condominiums and apartments, shops and restaurants, and public parks and river access. Oregon Health Sciences University has expanded its campus into the district, providing thousands of high-paying jobs.

Since 2006, South Waterfront and RiverPlace have seen significant investment, including:

  • $1.4B in public transportation investment, including a new transit-only bridge across the Willamette River
  • $2.5B in private real estate investment
  • $1.0B investment in the new Knight Cancer Institute, led by Nike founder Phil Knight
